  1. Thank you Patrick! OK, I see now that it looks like Compound Layout is supported for PDF in 8207, and gains support for XLSX in 9.
  2. The following Compound Layout Report...: SET HTMLARCHIVE=ON COMPOUND LAYOUT PCHOLD FORMAT PDF UNITS=IN, $ SECTION=section1, LAYOUT=ON, MERGE=OFF, ORIENTATION=LANDSCAPE, PAGESIZE=Letter, SHOW_GLOBALFILTER=OFF, $ PAGELAYOUT=1, $ COMPONENT='report1', TYPE=REPORT, POSITION=(0.650 0.667), DIMENSION=(2.667 5.000), $ COMPONENT='chart1', TYPE=REPORT, POSITION=(3.733 0.750), DIMENSION=(4.250 3.250), COMPONENT-TYPE=GRAPH, $ END -* SET COMPONENT='report1' TABLE FILE GGSALES SUM UNITS BY REGION ON REGION SUB-TOTAL END -* SET COMPONENT='chart1' GRAPH FILE GGSALES SUM DOLLARS BUDDOLLARS BY CATEGORY ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT SVG ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH BAR ON GRAPH SET STYLE * TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=CATEGORY, BUCKET=X-AXIS,$ TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=DOLLARS, BUCKET=Y-AXIS,$ TYPE=DATA, COLUMN=BUDDOLLARS, BUCKET=Y-AXIS,$ ENDSTYLE END COMPOUND END ...displays my report and graph side by side: When I change the PCHOLD FORMAT to XLSX, the report and graph are displayed on separate worksheets. How can I get the report and graph to display on the same worksheet? I am on release 8207.
  3. When you open the .pdf in a text editor, to you see the closing ')' OK? If so, sounds like a rendering issue of some sort. As David, suggests, try taking away some code to see if you can get the ')' to resolve. I might try to start with taking away styling.
  4. Hi Patrick, Wouldn't the recommended/supported way to call a focexec, from an external app, be to use WebFOCUS RESTful web services? For example: http://localhost:8080/ibi_apps/rs/ibfs/WFC/Repository/RESTful_Web_Services/Car_Reports/Sales_for_a_Specific_Country.fex?IBIRS_action=run&COUNTRY=JAPAN The WF RESTful calls, like 'IBIRS_action=run', are fully documented for developer use. Is the 'run.bip' you show in the video documented for developer use? If it is not, I might be concerned that the call/structure could be changed at some point by IB. (Maybe unlikely, but you never know. Murphy was an optimist. 🙂)
  5. Some at my company asked about what other companies use ibi products. I'd like to point them to the 'customers' page below, and would like the logo's to display, before I pass on the website address: I am rendering on the latest release of Edge on a Window 11 machine.
  6. Does your StyleSheet contain the BORDER attribute? If so, can you try removing it, and check to see if you no longer see the blank line between the HEADING and the column titles?
  7. Thanks Patrick. Yes, we have created the masters for PostreSQL, and are now comparing them to the masters under Oracle.
  8. Our reporting data warehouse is migrating from Oracle to PostgreSQL. Our reporting application is mostly TABLEing views and reporting via Excel formatted reports. Has anyone worked with a migration like this before and can share any challenges encountered on the reporting application side?
  9. Exactly correct: the output for the tree is from an AJAX query request returning data from a WebFOCUS RESTful call- 'IBIRS_action=get'. Excellent ideas to check if it is specific workspaces causing the issue. I will check. Thank you Clayton.
  10. Thank you for your ideas of things to try/think about Patrick. (The portal in this case is the older BIP.)
  11. Here is a further description of a 'FOC32447': Sounds like more of a warning regarding using the name 'MINUTES'. You could test, and change the column name to something like 'CASE_MINUTES' and see if the warning goes away.
  12. Our site has a BIP, and related JavaScript/jQuery code, built by a consultant about three years ago. The BIP has a container that calls a fex in the repository. The fex in the repository creates a tree style menu structure of report fexes that could be run. The tree is created with JavaScript and jQuery within the -HTMLFORM construct. At some point the tree stopped fully rendering, upon clicking on the top level, in Chrome, for some users. The tree does render and is clickable in Edge for all users. Has anyone seen anything like this and have any ideas? F12 Dev Tools isn't showing any errors. The BIP would have been built with our current release 8207.
  13. Wow! Looks like a full day of information building. Looking forward to attending.
  14. If you put something specific in the 'Subject:' like '[URGENT]' can: your MS Outlook server team do something like set the importance if it sees '[URGENT]' in the 'Subject:'? your MS Outlook users create a rule, moving anything with '[URGENT]' to a certain folder?
  15. Thanks for your comments, David. I am on release 8207. Yep, my expectation is that the mouse cursor would change to a <-||-> pointer and then I would be able to change the column width. I wonder if there is a way to change the width in 8207?
