Julie Anderson Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 I will admit I have not done a lot of research on this topic yet, but we are wondering if it is possible to do something within the portal designer. We have approximately 10 different tabs with their own buttons on the navigation pane. Is it possible to change the color of just one button In other words, is it possible to have different color buttons on the navigation pane We know we can style the pane area or the buttons; however, I changed the color for one button. It changed all of the buttons. Is this something that would have to be done in a CSS stylesheet file
SATHEESH B Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Are you talking about new portal navigation menu could you please add a screenshot
Julie Anderson Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 Yes, I am referring to the navigation pane/menu in a portal. Im working in 8.2.04. What Im trying to do is to see if I can change the background color of Profiles without changing the background color of the other three tabs. Is that possible
Martin Yergeau Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 If your portal is I think it is, yes you can. In Portal designer select your navigation bar. Then under Style tab you can change the Background, Border, Font playing with the State (Normal, Active, Hover) image.png920286 17.5 KB
Julie Anderson Posted November 19, 2021 Author Posted November 19, 2021 Thank you for the reply, MartinY. Before I posted this topic, I had gone to the exact menu bar and sections you have indicated in your screenshot. It seemed to change the whole navigation pane, not just individual tabs.
Martin Yergeau Posted November 22, 2021 Posted November 22, 2021 As mentioned and highlighted, you can style 3 states : Normal, Active and Hover which are the normal behavior for tabs. I dont know what would be the objective of having the tabs in different color but you certainly have a reason. I am pretty sure that it is not an option with the portal navigation tabs. Could be done if you have a tab container inserted into a HTML page that you then insert into your portal.
Julie Anderson Posted November 22, 2021 Author Posted November 22, 2021 Thank you, MartinY. Thats pretty much what we assumed, too, after our brief research into the topic. I appreciate your time in replying to the post as well as your willingness to share information with me. Thank you.
