I need to update the mail server name on all of the ReportCaster scheduled jobs. I have updated the mail host under WebFocus Administration/ReportCaster/Configuration. However this doesnt update mail server name on the individual schedules.

I am looking into the option under ReportCaster Administration/Global Updates. There is a setting option called mail server that looks like it can be used to update an existing mail server name.

I want to confirm the scope of this update. Will this only update the mail server name on ReportCaster scheduled reports Also, are there risks to applying this update

Backup your RC repository (DB)

Then apply your global change

Shouldnt have any risk and will change everywhere its applicable

When ever you have a problem, you have a backup
