In Admin Console, click InfoAssist and down in the bottom of the list look for Miscellaneous. The second option is: Expand Data Source Tree. Uncheck that.

Determines whether the initial view of the data source tree is expanded or collapsed. If selected, the tree is expanded. If not selected, the tree is collapsed. The default value is selected.

Yes its for any master file InfoAssist opens.

Is there a way to Collapse the Data Folders in InfoAssist as seen when using any Hierarchical file with multiple segments of just Measures and Dimensions as in GG Sales.

This is the default/initial view.

 

Users are asking for this to be initially collapsed instead as they are using a cluster (BO Universe) with many segments and always collapse the first X segments.

 

BTW: I like the way we can easily add images here
