Whether JDK is required for Webfocus 82 installation? Will JRE is enough? Please suggest

while we try to uninstall JDK, we noticed the process "jscom3c" is running. So, got a doubt whether it requires JDK?

WebFOCUS can run with either JDK or JRE.

Thank you Mat. So, even if i uninstall JDK and install only JRE, there shouldn't be any impact.

This is the WebFOCUS server process that is using Java - make sure to stop WebFOCUS Server , WebFOCUS Client , WebFOCUS Search (SOLR) and Tomcat before uninstalling as other wise those files will be blocked.

Even better - change all Java settings as described in my video first and uninstall the old version after everything is chnaged

As long as you ensure that WebFOCUS is pointing to the new installation of JRE.
