Madhavan TR
while we try to uninstall JDK, we noticed the process "jscom3c" is running. So, got a doubt whether it requires JDK?
Mat Barnard
WebFOCUS can run with either JDK or JRE.
Madhavan TR
Thank you Mat. So, even if i uninstall JDK and install only JRE, there shouldn't be any impact.
Patrick Huebgen
This is the WebFOCUS server process that is using Java - make sure to stop WebFOCUS Server , WebFOCUS Client , WebFOCUS Search (SOLR) and Tomcat before uninstalling as other wise those files will be blocked. Even better - change all Java settings as described in my video first and uninstall the old version after everything is chnaged
Mat Barnard
As long as you ensure that WebFOCUS is pointing to the new installation of JRE.You can refer to Patrick's video - it's for a newer version of WF but should still be relevant to ensure you stay up and running. Patrick Huebgen
Yes - in my video I'm using JRE as well
