Reporting Server Connection to Database

We just upgraded our Reporting Server in our primary development environment to version 9.0.3 on Windows. We are experiencing long delays when writing from our Reporting Server to our database servers, and when joining temporary tables on the Reporting Server to tables on the database server. We were running a Reporting Server version 8207.28.09 on iSeries before, and had a copy of version 9.0.3 on Windows in a test environment, and we were getting much faster response times in both places. If anyone has any ideas/suggestions as to what might be the cause for long transfer times, they would be greatly appreciated.
