How to load updated version of fex files after this.form.submit()

I modified the fex file for the page that contains a form.I added a new Text field in it. But after clicking the save button which submits the form, the loaded page is being reverted to the original (without the added text field). Any thoughts on this or if anyone encountered the same Thank you

Is this page created using Developer Studio or App Studio --For example, a HTML page

If you check the browser Developer tools, by pressing F12, are there any errors in the console
