Jess Hines Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Can the MS SQL Server ODBC/Azure DB adapter be used to connect to Azure SQL Azure DB seems like an no-longer-used term in Microsoft, and its unclear whether this adapter means Data Warehouse or SQL MI. Given that it just needs a server and credentials, it seems like it would work, but I dont want to move my teams project forward on a maybe.
Sarah Buccellato Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Jess, I recommend opening a support case.
Jess Hines Posted February 25, 2022 Author Posted February 25, 2022 I just got off a weekly support call with Tibco. The answer is Yes, the MS SQL Server ODBC/Azure DB adapter works for Azure SQL MI. As the database engines are essentially the same, there adapter only needs to know where the database is, and whether its an on-premise SQL server or an Azure SQL database doesnt affect things.
