Bob, welcome. You should make sure that all the charts are using the same styling, it would appear that 3 of them are using the multi-color background which would be controlled by a particular stylesheet.

Changing the display for a series to a line is usually a matter of selecting the series and then changing the chart type for that particular series

Im trying to put a line in a bar graph as is in the graph on the bottom right and also alter the background on the line graph as is in the other 3.

Now Im trying to find how to add lines horizontally from the values on the axis. I havent found that option in the GUI yet.

Hi Bob

Not sure if you figured it out but on the format tab under the grid option you can choose horizontal gridlines and more gridline options and then customize the major gridlines then the line style where you can set the color and line weight etc.
