Location: SSA Headquarters (Must live within 2 hours of Woodlawn, MD)

Salary: $86,335 to $112,240 per year

Serves as an IT Specialist in the Office of Systems, for an Associate Commissioner component. Responsible for analyzing and refining systems requirements, designing, developing, modifying, validating and implementing SSA programmatic software. Such IT-related experience must include at least 1 year designing and developing business intelligence or management information applications using WebFOCUS 8.

Education

 

 

All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.

 

 

Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

 

 

Telework

 

Five days a week during COVID. Eventually will need to report to headquarters in Woodlawn, MD some.

Do you have experience building and maintaining WebFOCUS 8 BI Portals, reports, graphs and charts

Do you have experience in using SQL to perform complex database queries and data retrieval involving the use of sub-queries, joins, data filtering (WHERE clause, etc.) and data ordering

Do you have experience with WebFOCUS 8 security roles and provisioning

Do you have experience building selection option screens using HTML, JavaScript, and CSS with WebFOCUS

Do you have experience using the FOCUS/WebFOCUS core language

Do you have experience creating metadata and cluster synonyms using WebFOCUS 8

Do you have experience using ReportCaster to schedule and distribute reports and charts

Do you have experience independently troubleshooting and resolving validation or production software problems

Do you have experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint

Do you have experience working across organizations or teams in developing software solutions that meet user needs

Do you have experience participating in team code reviews

Do you have experience assisting programmers or developers on your project team or individuals outside of your organization

Do you have experience expressing and presenting ideas and conclusions clearly, concisely and effectively in order to work across organizations and arrive at agreements; and can your provide technical leadership on group projects
